A homeowner was horrified by their neighbour and dreaded stepping foot outside the house, leaving them with just one option. The horror story was shared by an anonymous member of the public, who says the initial bliss of their new home was destroyed by their new neighbour. Their neighbour's behaviour was so bad the homeowner felt dreadful whenever they had to leave the house.
Though there were minor issues with the neighbour's loose dogs and loud music, the bad habits got worse and the homeowner hit their breaking point around two years ago. It's only just now they are carrying out the sole option left to them.
Members of the public have praised the person's patience, suggesting they would have reacted far worse, and far sooner, than the homeowner. In a post to the r/NeighborsfromHell Reddit page, the "first time poster" shared their horror situation.

They shared: "My wife and I moved into our first home about four years ago. When we first arrived, the house next door was empty - the neighbours were on vacation. It was peaceful, blissful even. We’d sit out in the sun, play with our dog, and enjoy the quiet. That peace lasted exactly two weeks. Since then, it’s been nonstop chaos.
"Every. Single. Morning. the father starts his massive truck, which is parked close to our bedroom window, and lets it idle - sometimes for 30 minutes straight in the dead of winter. We’ve resorted to using white noise machines and fans just to sleep.
"About two years ago, their adult son and his wife moved in… with their two kids. They all appear to be unemployed and spend the bulk of the day hanging out in the backyard, talking loudly, yelling, vaping, smoking weed, and letting their dogs run wild.
"All of this during working hours while many of us on the street are working from home. You’d think it was a campground back there... Now that summer's here, the chaos ramps up... It’s gotten to the point where I dread the warm weather.
"I dread stepping outside. I don't even enjoy my home anymore."
While many members of the public empathised with the homeowner and suggested a few solutions, it was confirmed they were set to sell up in spring.
They added: "Once we're gone, we're never coming back. I've got one last summer to survive, and I'd love any tips, tricks, or petty wins to help me stay sane."
One person suggested: "Speaker by the property line playing Baby Shark on repeat might annoy them back. Throw in the Kars for Kids commercial and you’ve got a banger. What’s Up Pussycat I heard does wonders."
Another added: "My daughter lives in AZ where everyone has concrete block fences 8ft high. You would never know she even has neighbours. You can't hear or see them."
A third shared: "My suggestion is: be meaner than them. As read in another comment, play hateful music all the time. ruin their summer."
